And no, you don’t have to compromise on the quality, services, location, etc. Check out the Gurugram hacks if you are on a shoestring budget. Simply go with the wind and you’ll start loving it sooner than later. Let’s explore the hacks of Gurugram to start with…

Affordable office space

Across the highway. That’s the key. And no it’s not that bad. But yes, it’s not as swanky as well. Ignore the minor issues that really don’t interfere with your work and growth and you are sorted. More you want to save, deeper and further you need to go from the highway. And don’t get dissuaded if someone says it’s so eww to be on that side. There so many biggies that you’d rubbing your shoulders with or sharing a wall. From auto giant Maruti to e-commerce biggy Snapdeal, from FoodPanda to Jabong, e-Distribution giant B2Badda to ShopClues fame Sandeep Aggarwal led Droom, this side of the highway too is filled with buzzing brands. Skip the #showoff and save big on moolah.

Amazing Deal on Office Supplies

Forget the big stationers in those swanky malls and e-commerce stores. Head straight to the Sadar Bazaar of Gurugram and right opposite the Post Office is the lane filled with dozens of stationery stores. Bet it, you can’t get a better deal than what they can offer on the same office supplies and brands that you’ve been using or want to. A 30 to 35% discount from the prices you’ve been paying is guaranteed, if you actually buy in bulk. Fill your cabinets in one go and forget it.

Party sans big bill tension

That’s one hack that you don’t need to tell a Gurgaon wallah. But for the records and for those starting operations in the city and having no experience of the town, here’s the list.

  • Machan or Ahaata

Yeah, that’s what we call them, mostly. These are ahaatas – licensed liquor drinking places behind wine shops that also provide shelter, food and other services. Don’t go by the basic assumption. There are some of the swankiest and most buzzing clubs that operate under this license. You can’t even imagine the class, quality and crowd till you visit a few personally. To name a few, Knight Rider (under DLF Ph – II Metro Station), Plan-B (Sikanderpur), ByTheRoad (Sector 40), Hyde (near Unitech InfoCity), Mowgli (near Maruti).

  • Deal on liquor

If you have your own place to party and just want to fill the rack with rocking brands of liquor head straight to L1. Google for the nearest L1 store and knock their door. These are the stores that offer amazing, unbelievable discounts on all brands of Beer, Whisky, Wine, etc. Only catch is that you will have to buy a full crate of beer or half a crate of liquor (if buying non-beer alcoholic drinks). Good thing is that you can also mix and match to make that half crate (six bottles). One store on the road to Iffco from Maruti side happens to be our favorite. It is opposite Ria Wines’ stockyard.

What more do you want to start a business, enjoy the team-building/bonding and make it large!
